January 2026: Building Momentum
Two months into our Year 1 build journey, and we're hitting our stride. Here's what we've been working on and what's coming next.
Story Engine Improvements
Our AI-powered story engine has gotten significantly better at maintaining character consistency. Captain Barnaby now remembers previous conversations, and Penny's spontaneous energy feels more natural across different story scenarios.
What we learned: Context windows matter more than we initially thought. We've expanded our "world bibles" to give AI agents richer background about each character's history and relationships.
Enhanced Safety Systems
We've streamlined our dual safety checks without compromising quality. Review turnaround time is down from 48 hours to 24 hours, and our automated validation catches 85% of issues before human review.
New this month: We added emotional tone analysis to catch content that might be technically appropriate but emotionally jarring for young children.
Fresh World Content
All four worlds now have unique "Why it matters" content that speaks directly to parents and educators. No more generic descriptions—each world clearly communicates its specific value proposition.

What's Coming in February
- Interactive map enhancements: Better animations and accessibility
- Demo page refresh: Clearer audience targeting for partners and educators
- Trust messaging improvements: More scannable safety information
One-Sentence Takeaway
We're proving that AI-first media studios can build both fast and safe when transparency and human review are built into the process from day one.
